It is with great sadness to learn of the news of the passing of on of the sons of the soil Prof Joseph Shabalala the founding father of the Grammy award winning group Black Mambazo.
As the JGZ Foundation we wish to extend our heartfelt condolences to his family and the entire country and the world for such a loss,as Prof Shabalala has contributed to the liberation of this country in the form of arts and other ways some might not know,we want to say he played a very pivotal role in the shaping of the music industry in this country in particular.
May God strengthen the family during this sad time. Be assured Mshengu fought a good fight, he ran his race successfully. Isicathamiya is in the World Map because of Baba Mshengu. This International Icon and a World Leader had a bigger Vision than what we all understood Isicathamiya to be.
We hope and pray that his teachings will forever remain in our hearts and minds so as to continue to champion his vision as a father,as a teacher and as a musician.
May His Soul Rest In Eternal Peace. Uyibekile Induku Ebandla.
