The African National Congress could be back in power in the City Of Tshwane within the next 24-48 hours if they play their cards right. This of course would be made possible by cooperation and trading with the smaller parties like the Economic Freedom Fighters-EFF which has been key in the DA take over of Tshwane Metro (in 2016). Earlier today the EFF had announced an intension to table a motion of no confidence in the disgraced 9-months Mayor. Just this evening in what could be read as a response to EFF's earlier announcement the ANC in Gauteng Province has issued a statement (below), which suggest that ANC and EFF might be moving closer to an understanding/cooperation agreement that may result in the two parties ANC-EFF governing the City of Tshwane together from 28/11/2019, a partnership that would hopefully rescue The Capital City from the demise of devils'alliance (DA) which had revisited and ruinedTshwane for the past 3 years.

A marriage between RET-Forces and Economic Freedom Fighters,what a blessing it could be for Indigenous Afrika people,but lets not get ahead of ourselves for now courting might just work well and way better than "CODESA" which we know by now was all a fuss if not a trap to disarm and disband the Liberation Movements whilst the Land reman in tact in the hands of settler land thieves and their allies Britain in partnership with their west partners in crime.

For all its worth we ought to encourage this move by both parties and commend the comrades/fighters for putting their ego's aside& putting Tshwane people first, it does bring us closer to Economic Freedom-RET realisation in our lifetime indeed

The African National Congress Gauteng Province supports the move by the ANC Caucus in the City of Tshwane to table a comprehensive urgent motion of no confidence against the Executive Mayor Stevens Mokgalapa including calling for the removal of the Acting City Manager Moeketsi Ntsimane.

The motion to be tabled of in terms of Section 7(1) read with Section 7(2) of the Rules and Orders of Council arises due to recent developments which amongst others, led to the Executive Mayor allegedly being placed on special leave by his political party, the Democratic Alliance.

The motion deals with amongst others the long standing issues of:

1. Hammanskraal water crisis.

2. Aurecon corruption scandal.

3. Wonderboom Airport corruption scandal of +/- R900 000 per month.

Residents of Tshwane have suffered long enough under the Democratic Alliance-led government’s failed leadership experiments. This has seen the municipality staggering from one scandal to another under the rudderless mayorship of Solly Msimanga and Stevens Mokgalapa.

Under the DA the flouting of tender procedures as outlined in the MFMA and rampant levels of unauthorized, irregular, fruitless and wasteful expenditure in the City of Tshwane have become normalised.

The water supply crisis in various areas especially Hammanskraal has led to an outcry from society, prompting institutions like the Human Rights Commission to intervene. Electricity cuts in Olievenhoutbosch, Soshanguve, Mabopane, Mamelodi, Pretoria West and East, Laudium and Itireleng are a daily occurrence while residents in areas like Atteridgeville are concerned for their health as garbage piles up in their township.

The latest multi-billion rand scandal involving the appointment Aurecon South Africa to manage the city’s R18 billion property and land portfolio saw R6.4 million being paid to the company even before any service level agreement could be entered into with the City. This follows the unprecedented GladAfrica multi-billion rand contact which was terminated after the Auditor General declared it irregular and illegal.

At the Wonderboom airport, the DA administration is embroiled in another scandal that has seen a company being paid R900k per month to allegedly manage the city’s international airport which is run down.

The insatiable appetite to continuously appoint into key positions senior managers without qualifications has become a defining feature of the DA-led administration and has led to the collapse of services to the people of Tshwane.

The current Acting City Manager who is also the Audit Executive in the City of Tshwane has been found wanting and conflicted as such should not be reappointed. We are aware that as of midnight, his acting appointment comes to an abrupt end. We call on parties in Council to work together and reject a report by the disgraced Executive Mayor to request extension of Mr Ntsimane's acting capacity.

Mr Ntsimane has been working with the Executive Mayor Cllr Stevens Mokgalapa to undertake all unsavoury activities of the Executive Mayor, he is the Mayor's hired gun.

The ANC is of the view that the only way to restore services to the people is to show the incompetent DA the door hence we will be tabling urgent motions of no confidence on Thursday morning in line with the applicable rules of Council.
